Questions

Is cataloging really unlimited on Free?

Yes. Every plan catalogs as many comics as you own and scans as many barcodes as you like. Plans differ in AI volume, photo storage and the tools layered on top.

What is an AI cover read?

When a barcode isn’t enough to pin down the exact edition, or a book has no barcode, The Collector reads the cover photo with AI. Each read uses a small part of your monthly allowance. Barcode scans and typing a book in never do.

Why are the AI numbers approximate?

Allowances are metered by what the AI actually costs, so a sharp photo costs less than a blurry one that needs a second look. The counts shown assume a typical read and a typical assistant conversation.

What happens when I use up the month’s allowance?

AI features pause until the allowance resets on the 1st of the month (UTC). Barcode scanning, manual entry and everything else keep working, and you can upgrade at any time.

Can I export my collection?

Yes, on every plan. Export your full collection as CSV or JSON whenever you want.

How does billing work?

Paid plans are billed by Stripe, monthly or yearly. We never see your card number. You can change plans, update your card or cancel from billing settings, and paid features stay on until the end of the period you paid for.

Do comic shops pay to list?

No. Listing books, appearing in the store directory and receiving hold requests are free. A seller fee applies only when the shop completes a hold as a sale.
