When they go up to their cabin, Ranger Hardy visits them and Linc and Wendell go hunting the next day. Linc shoots the deer with a bow but misses. After Linc shoots it with a gun because Wendell doesn't shoot someone hits him in the head. He wakes up to find himself alone and Wendell gone.
