Leslie enjoys her status as the girlfriend of high school football star Howie. When Howie graduates and enrolls in a military academy, he loses interest in the sport. Leslie flirts with star player Johnny to encourage Howie to go out for the team. He does but when a cheating scandal hits the academy, Leslie is sure her pressure on Howie to play football forced him to cheat on his exams. Howie says he didn’t cheat, but he failed his courses and has to leave school: he blames Leslie. A repentant Leslie convinces her father to pull strings to get Howie reinstated and she reconciles with him.
